The Streaming Giant Chooses Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

Baroque Works is geared up to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that figure reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and cartoon version.

This performer joins multiple fresh additions who will portray the organization to the screen, including chief Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although this character is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
